The short version

• On utilkits.com, our tools run in your browser. Files, PDFs, images and text you process there stay on your device and are not uploaded to us.
• In the utilkits apps for ChatGPT and Claude, the tools run on our server, and files are deleted within 1 hour.
• The utilkits Chrome extensions and the utilkits Claude desktop extension run on your device: your files never leave your computer.
• The site is free because it shows Google ads, which use cookies. You can opt out of personalized ads.
• We do not sell your personal information.

Information we collect

When you use the tools on utilkits.com

Tool processing happens in your browser. We do not receive the files or text you work with. Some preferences and recent tool settings are saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers them; you can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

When you create an account

If you sign in with Google sign-in, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. Account data, saved workspaces, widgets and alerts you create are stored with our database provider, Supabase.

When you buy a plan

Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your subscription status and billing email, but not your full card number.

When you use the AI assistant

Text you send to the AI assistant is forwarded to OpenRouter, which routes it to an AI model provider to generate a reply. Don't include sensitive personal information in AI requests.

When you use the utilkits app in ChatGPT or the utilkits connector in Claude

When you ask ChatGPT or Claude to use a utilkits tool, the assistant sends us the tool input for that request, including any files you attach. We do not receive your other messages, chat history or memory. We process it on our server to produce the result. Files you upload and files we generate are kept in memory only, are reachable only through a random link, and are deleted within 1 hour. Website-checking tools (such as the redirect checker) fetch the public web address you give them. Your use of ChatGPT or Claude itself is covered by OpenAI's or Anthropic's privacy policy.

When you use the utilkits Chrome extensions

The SEO Inspector, PDF Tools, Image Tools and Text Tools extensions process everything in your browser. We do not collect your browsing activity, page contents, files or text through them. The SEO Inspector reads a page only when you click it; Image Tools asks before reading images from a site. Links back to utilkits.com carry a campaign tag so we can count visits from the extensions.

When you use the utilkits Claude desktop extension

utilkits Offline Tools run on your computer inside Claude. They open files only from the folders you choose in the extension settings and save results to your chosen folder. Your files never leave your computer and are not sent to us; Claude itself sees the tool results you ask for, under Anthropic's privacy policy.

Usage and device information

We use Google Analytics to understand which tools are used and how the site performs. It collects information such as pages viewed, tool events, approximate location, browser and device type, using cookies and similar technologies.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

• Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Where the law requires it, including in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, we ask for your consent before personalized ads and analytics cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser; the tools keep working without them.

How we use information

• To provide the tools, your account, saved items and paid features.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions.
• To measure usage, fix problems and improve the site.
• To show ads that keep the free tools free.
• To prevent abuse and keep the service secure.
• To reply when you contact us.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run utilkits: Supabase (database and sign-in), Stripe (payments), Google (sign-in, Analytics and AdSense), OpenRouter (AI assistant), and our hosting provider. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our users and service. We do not sell your personal information or share it for money.

How long we keep it

• Files processed through the ChatGPT app or Claude connector: deleted within 1 hour.
• Account data, workspaces and alerts: kept while your account is active, and deleted within 30 days after you ask us to delete your account.
• Payment records: kept as long as required for tax and accounting.
• Analytics data: kept according to our Google Analytics retention setting.

Your choices and rights

You can access, correct or export your account data, or delete your account, by emailing support@utilkits.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as objecting to certain processing or complaining to a data protection authority. We will respond within 30 days.

Security

We use HTTPS throughout, keep tool processing in your browser where possible, and limit what our servers store. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

utilkits is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. If the changes are significant, we will give notice on the site.
